On the Show:

–This show is a day early because of Thanksgiving!

–Wayne Besen from TruthWinsOut.org joins us live to discuss Porno Peter LaBarbera, the anti-gay Salvation Army, John McCain on Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, and more.

–Louis’ birthday

–We give away an iPad for Thanksgiving as well as a bunch of great music.

–The recent conflict between North Korea and South Korea, including possible hidden motivations, the actual sequence of events, Sarah Palin mistaking one country for the other, and a poll about whether the US will end up getting involved.

–It turns out that George W. Bush’s fetus in a jar story from his book Decision Points was not accurate, and we look at the details.

–Pressure is building on the Obama administration to investigate the Bush administration for torture, but could it happen, and would the Democrats do it at a politically inconvenient time?

–A Navy dad has custody of his kids taken away because he is an atheist, and we wonder whether Craig Scarberry actually was the center of a violation of the First Amendment.

–Although the GOP and Tea Party campaigned constantly about cutting spending, they are refusing a logical proposal from Obama to do just that. Are we surprised?

–Polls show that not only are people gloomy about the upcoming GOP majority in the House, but many did not vote for Republicans because they agreed with their positions, but rather because they were generally upset with politicians.

–Emails about David barely being out of diapers and that he should not comment on US politics since he is not a natural born citizen, about Sarah Palin and a one way mission to Mars, on the alleged feminization of the Medal of Honor, and more.

–On the Bonus Show: An incredible story from Louis about getting into a fight while working at his bar, the two biggest lies in George W. Bush’s memoirs, George Bush 41 comments on who he thinks would make a good President, and more.

    Hi David,

Fantastic to hear your Progressive Talk Program. Like a breath of fresh air in the stuffy right-wing dominated media.

I discovered your program on Freethought Radio in the Midweek Politics era. I’m a listener in Australia.

All the best for the future.

Not to be nit-picky, but the U.S. is ALREADY involved militarily on the Korean peninsula, correct? I get what you are asking but our military has been there since 1950. By the way, you and Louis are very entertaining! I teach AP Government and use some of your show to stream in class!

    David,

Saw that Dr Laura Schlessinger is getting a new radio show in Sirius this January. That’s insane because that spot should go to great shows like yours! What a waste of airtime. You and Louis and your team make my week! Oh well, maybe one day…
