It is interesting that the ad says “that he protects unborn life” because technically speaking, as a doctor, he could have recommended that a woman take pre-natal supplements (etc.) and such a recommendation would still constitute “protecting unborn life”. No one in the ad came out and said definitely that Ron Paul was pro-life, but rather than ad simply allowed its viewer to draw their own conclusions. Or did I miss something?

    Dear David,

I was watching your radio show about the 100 year anniversary of the Reagan birth. You brought up a graph of the deficit in nominal terms increasing the debt by 3 trillion dollars yet you forget that other Presidents prior to Reagan increased the deficit and debt as a share of GDP much more than Reagan. Specifically, FDR had deficit as a percentage of GDP in between 20% and 30% and built up the military for WWII which led US and Allied Victory and resulted in economic recovery. Reagan’s deficit to GDP ratio was was nowhere near that! Also, you mentioned unemployment increased yet provided no graph to support your claims. Fact is unemployment fell from 10.2% to around 6% by the end of the Reagan presidency. All these statistics come from government sites (BLS and BEA). Oh, I also never hear you complain about the Kennedy tax cuts reducing the top marginal tax rate the same way Reagan cut the tax rate by approximately 20 percentage points. President Obama’s stimulus supposedly was going to decrease unemployment the unemployment rate, Despite this claim the unemployment rate rose well over 8% yet I do not hear you say under Obama unemployment soured as you incorrectly pointed out about President Reagan.

    Sincerely Yours,

    Bob
