In regards to the Life Boat scenario… I would divide the goup into 3s. There would be rowers, resters, and swim behinders. While one goup rows, another would be swimming behind and another would be resting. They would each take turns depending on the stamina of the current rowers. if some of the swim behinders are old and decrepid, they would just grab a hold of the outside of the boat for a nice restful tow.

I love the morality questions and Louis’s last name give a beautiful sound to the titled question. I am a former Tibetan Buddhist nun and these kind of questions are excellent for training the heart and mind.( In Buddhism, it is thought that the mind resides in the heart.) …Answer : For me, given the intent that I have control over that part of the situation and I cannot pass on the responsibility and that I cannot use “depends on the situation “, realistically, after asking for volunteers first and being one of the volunteers before going over, ….. yes. Being thrown overboard does not nessesarily mean death. Life is strange. Even if surrounded by sharks, one doesn’t know who will survive or not. There is always hope and death may be better than surviving . One would do this in the hope that people in the boat would survive compared to the possibility that more would die if some did not go overboard …. Glad that you did not call this “Shindler’s List “! … I also really like hearing Natan’s (?)comments. He always seems to have very compassionate and intelligent comments to balance out the show. Three is the charm. Would love to hear more input from him ……Been meanig to request that you get away from the mafia names for the membership categories. Untill you do, I am boycotting membership. I have saved up $50 for membership to help out but don’t feel right about being associated even in jest with anything associated with the mafia word. Words are power. I noticed a poster of (I think) the Monkees on your wall. If you want humor in the names of membership levels, think like a Monkee and come up with something that reflects your values or interests other than Mafia Wars. Perhaps political historic references that are peace oriented or ancient philosophers known for their wisdom or poetry. You could have a short biography to with the name of the membership level. Also add an anonymous level. Many people feel badly if they give only a few dollars but may donate anonymously. It adds up and allows people to feel that they have been able to support a show that they like. I would like my $50 to be known as the Kuan Yin level, Athena, Sappho, Gloria (Steinem ),..along that line or words that relate to concepts of wisdom and compassion and the arts. If the Monkees would let you I would love to be at the drummer’s level because it reminds me of Animal of the Muppet Showwhen he tried to meditate with James Coburn, Mickey from the Monkees, and that drummers often lead a person into higher states of awareness. Anything other than the mafia! Please forgive me for the long comment. My point being : use your creativity to come up with relevant membership names that don’t glorify violence. Thank you for your patience – I know that patience may be an area you need to work on. Susan. )

Bachmann showing up to a presidential debate and annoucing like she did is like going to a class on the first day of college and raising your hand and going “Professor I wanted to let you know that today, I signed up for classes, FYI”.
The whole annoucing thing is so daft. Like talking about when you’re going to announce, why? You kind of just did by doing that. “Mom, Dad, I wanted to let you know that tomorrow Im going to come out of the closet”.
Its like articles online that have INTRO PAGES. I click on links to read an article, it goes to article intro page and I start reading it thinking its the article, but then I get to the part with the link to the article, and sometimes the article is just as long as the intro, but I read it anyways thinking well it has to have something the intro didn’t have, but no.

I am 100% pro choice no matter when life begins. My body is my body. it is interesting, however, to note that the hitler 3 year old baby morality question ilumnates how the abortion doctor killers must think and feel.

MoveOn.org has stepped up to announce the beginning of the movement to take back America from the Banksters.
It’s pretty clear by now that we can’t wait for Barack Obama, or the Democrats, to save us. But the one thing that might turn things around is an honest-to-God mass movement—something on the scale of the civil rights movement or the antiwar movement—built around a vision of an economy that works for all of us, not just the top 2%.
So today we’re launching a $1 million fundraising drive for one of the biggest things we’ve ever tried—joining with dozens of other progressive organizations to lift up a new, grassroots movement to rescue the economy and bring the American Dream within reach for all Americans.
