On the Show:

–Keith Olbermann’s suspension from MSNBC, the end of the suspension, his donations, and all the factors that may have been at play in what happened, including Comcast and more.

–All the reasons to get rid of moving the clocks back, including violence, depression, and energy use, as well as Louis’ confusion over DST where he though we moved 24 hours forward instead of one hour back.

–Midterm election fallout continues, including Republicans proving they know the word “repudiate,” was John Boehner drunk when he cried, and Michele Bachmann’s trance-like hypnosis with Chris Matthews.

–Republicans are getting increasingly upset with the Tea Party over having cost them control of the Senate, and we agree.

–Our current poll asks whether the Tea Party will actually be able to pass any of their proposed ideas, as few as they are.

–We ask the audience which authors and books that have been pitched they would like to see interviewed on the show.

–The liberal gene has been discovered, and we look at all aspects of the news, including whether it will filter into another anti-stem cell research conspiracy among conservatives.

–Oklahoma SQ755 passes with overwhelming support, which disallows the use of Sharia Law in deciding American court cases, but contrary to the beliefs of extremists, SQ755 is both unnecessary and malicious.

–A young Asian man disguised as an old white man is caught when he arrives in Canada on a flight coming from Asia.

–David Pakman might actually be interested in reading George W. Bush’s new book “Decision Points,” and we look at the Kanye West George Bush Doesn’t Care About Black People incident, which Bush calls the worst moment of his presidency in the book, and more.

–Audience emails, including claims that David Pakman is the worst host ever, that he should be deported, that people from Argentina are snotty, and even some positive emails.

David, you should invite Ann Coulter on your show so you can debate her political views!

Maybe I misunderstood, but did you say that there is a group saying that incest & rape are “God’s Will”? I am 45 years old, and a survivor of child molestation & rape, that occurred from the age of 4 1/2 till 13 years of age. It wasn’t something that only happened once or twice, but almost daily. As I said, I am 45 years old now, but still live with this pain. The offenders are not affected by what they did to me, and I never had parents that gave a crap to even protect me. David, I know that it is not something that you said, so this is not aimed at you personally. It WAS NOT God’s will for this to happen to me, nor is it God’s will for it to happen to anyone EVER! It is not God’s will that I should still suffer from something that happened to me over 30 years ago. I am a christian, and I know what the Bible says. Nowhere in the entire Bible does it say that these monstrous evil acts are of the will of God. I’m not posting this for sympathy, but as the opinion from an actual survivor of these horrid acts.

P.S.: This is a personal reply, and if you read this on the air, I request that my name not be mentioned.

Thank you, and good luck with your program. I enjoy listening.

David, you mentioned Anschutz family donations to Michael Bennet (D Colo.). Michael Bennet was a senior executive in the Anschutz companies before he became chief of staff to Denver mayor John Hickenlooper (which predated Bennet’s stint as superintendent of Denver Public Schools, and his appointment to the U.S. Senate).

    David:
As a newly found fan of 106.7 KWSS, I found myself listening to your show this evening 10Nov10. I would like to address a couple of your points:
    1) Tea Party: The Tea Party is not a controlled entity with one or few leaders. They are not liberal, conservative, republican, democrat, pro this or anti that. They are all of these. My girlfriends parents are so far left they are off the map (so far, the impression I get of you) and have attended more tea parties than I have. As of Jan 1, 2011, the standard tax rate for most middle class America will be 40%. This is ONLY the Federal income tax-nearly half our income. Let us not forget all the other taxes paid: property, sales, state income, et cetera. THIS is the common ground of the tea party. NO MORE TAXES. This translates to no more spending and balance the budget. The tea party’s affect on the recent elections should not be viewed in favor of or against democrats or republicans. Both parties in the last 10 years have displayed a obvious disregard for the future financial condition of this country. In less than 100 years, we have gone from the gold standard to the paper standard. Where did all our gold go? The more paper we print, the less valuable it becomes. And what happens when the “fed” (bankers, not congress) prints more? Everything begins to cost more, specifically to foreign markets. China now owns 6 trillion of our debt only because our economy supports theirs. We print more money, they loose value. Common sense added to our financial policies is a must. We are leaving our kids without an American Dream. They’ll be busy paying for our greed.
    1) “Independent” or “public” radio/television: I believe the perception of this is misleading in of itself. NPR, KAET, and others constantly run fund raising marathons claiming this is their only source of funding. We are learning that this is not true. Why cant they play on the same, level field as the rest? The free market. If the programs are appealing to the public, the public will support it. Via donations or business advertising. Public only means funded by the government. China is like that: State “sponsored” media. Remember during the Olympics how quickly the Tibet story disappeared?
