This Week on Midweek Politics with David Pakman / March 31st, 2010
Total Running Time: 60:00
MP3 Podcast: Available with entire Midweek Politics Archive for Members
This Week’s Topics:
–Eric O’Neill, former FBI agent best known for his role in the Robert Hanssen case, the subject of the movie Breach where O’Neill was played by Ryan Phillippe, joins us live.
–Tara Tetreault and Candice Connors from Jackson and Connor join us live in studio to discuss the important of a politicians image, good and bad ways to appear in public, and more.
–Now that the healthcare bill has passed, should Democrats lay low, or try to get more large initiatives through, and we look at why opinion about the healthcare bill has changed since its passing.
–Rush Limbaugh claimed he would go to Costa Rica for the nationalized healthcare he so feverishly opposes if the healthcare bill passed, and we wonder when his first trip will be.
–Violence spreads after the passing of the healthcare bill, including slurs yelled at homosexual and African-American members of Congress, and an Obama bumper sticker driving a Tennessee man to repeatedly slam into the vehicle of another driver.
–Congressman Bart Stupak receives threats on his life from the same individuals who claim to be in favor of life above all else.
–More allegations that Pope Benedict XVI, back when he was Joseph Ratzinger, was directly involved in the coverup of pedophilia, and we discuss whether it is time for him to resign.
–Bill Donohue explains that much of Catholic child molestation is not pedophilia on the grounds that many of the young boys are technically post pubescent.
–After the RNC pays a two thousand dollar tab at a lesbian bondage strip club, Michael Steele denies having been there personally, but it is still a hilarious story.
–Tea Partiers hold up bizarre, grammatically ambiguous signs. If nothing else, at least the Westboro Baptist Church holds up signs whose meaning no one could mistake, and we look at the makeup of the Tea Party.
–A Republican CSPAN caller is upset that there are too many black callers getting on the air, and suggests having “their own line” to call in on.
–New stations airing Midweek Politics, the results from last week’s website poll on lawsuits to repeal healthcare reform, and audience emails on Tim Lemont and the Joe Biden F-Bomb.
